We’re only a few weeks in, but we already know 2016 is going to be a fantastic year! In this time of new beginnings, we reflect on the things we would like to change – we come up with lists and goals. We buy exercise equipment and low calorie cook books, and we set out to become the best possible version of our selves.
We asked the team here at Craig Stewart Salon what their resolutions are this year, and the answers may surprise you!
Catherine
Co-Owner/Master Stylist
“2016 is going to be a year of Health and Beauty! I resolve to become consistent in scheduling time for Exercise, Massage, Hair Services (you’d be surprised at how difficult this is when you work in a salon!), as well as Mani/Pedi’s, and Facials. I’ve spent the last 39 years instructing my Salon Guests to schedule their salon services on a regular basis because it’s the best way to ensure that they always look and feel their best. So this year, I’m taking my own advice! And I’m not just talking about hair – I want to look and feel my best in all aspects of my life in 2016!”

Co-Owner/Master Stylist
“My New Year’s Resolution is to carve out more quality time with my husband! I am also striving to be consistent in exercise, and choosing healthier options when snacking. I am going to spend more time connecting with my faith at church. And I will focus on being present in the moment, and enjoying the time that I have with my children.”
Meghan
Salon Coordinator
“I was such a homebody last year. I want 2016 to be a year of Taco Tuesdays, apartment dinner parties, and monthly movie nights!”
Suzanne
Master Stylist
“My New Year’s Resolutions are 1) to be healthier, 2) ride my bike more often, and 3) learn new skills – I love honing my craft! And 4) to have more fun!”
Joelle
Master Stylist
“I resolve to travel! I want to really focus on making travel plans this year. I am making it a priority as part of my larger resolution to invest in my health and well-being. I want to take better care of myself in 2016.”
Terry
Stylist
“I resolve to have the best health possible. Sleep more! Exercise more. I am going to be the healthiest me I can be.”
Anna
Stylist
“I would venture a guess and say that most everyone out there is in the same boat with me here: I resolve to lose weight in 2016! My husband and I recently purchased our first home, so I also resolve to work around my new house – like painting and yard work.”
Lauren
Junior Stylist
“My New Year’s Resolution is to be more mindful and present. I also resolve to be more charitable in 2016. Pay it forward in the new year!”
Haley
Guest Coordinator
“My goal is to cook healthy meals, as often as I can. I’ve already gotten started! It’s a delicious resolution. I also resolve to exercise regularly, and obtain my esthetician license in June!”
Jasmine
Guest Coordinator
“My first goal for 2016 is to take my blog to the next level! I want to really build my content and gain a following on there and keep it consistent. My next goal for 2016 is to develop a better schedule for myself. I am terrible at following through on my passion projects, and that is going to change! I resolve to figure out a healthy and natural-feeling routine for my days that works for me. There are two things I have really wanted to learn for years now: the first thing being to learn how to sew, and make patterns for myself, and the second thing being… cooking! I am going to knock these out this year!”
