A native New Yorker, Gianni is passionate in all facets of design. After receiving a degree from the University of Alabama in Interior Architecture and a focus in Italian Language, Gianni launched his career as a professional designer for a top 50 design firm, and worked in retail store design at some of the most recognized fashion brands in the world. While setting roots in Boston, Gianni was contracted to design two educational centers for Aveda Northeast and later a salon for an independent salon owner. His connection to the brand was immediate. In 2007, Gianni designed and created his own Aveda Lifestyle Salon in Middle Georgia. His transition into the role as a makeup artist came very naturally, as he fused his love of design, fashion, beauty and passion for the Aveda brand. Quickly he became immersed in the makeup industry, attending master classes at The Make Up show. The Aveda Advanced Academy, and managing the MAC store . A designer at heart, Gianni’s approach to makeup artistry is to transform his guest visually but not to lose sight of her natural beauty. In addition to working for Aveda, Gianni’s work has included NY Fashion Week, Editorial work and interacting with salon guests. Gianni continues to grow and find passion in his role as a makeup artist for Aveda. His salon continues to flourish as well, opening a second location in 2014 with more growth planned in the future. Gianni lives, works and plays in the middle Georgia area with his partner and their 4 very spoiled Weimaraner’s.
